After several years of nagging on my part, we finally bought a new bed before Christmas. Whilst it was delivered just in time for Christmas, the mattress itself has taken a little longer, and I only had a call today to say it would be delivered in the next few days. Along with a little bit of decluttering that is slowly (very slowly) taking place, it means that our master bedroom might look halfway respectable sometime soon.
Whilst I am very much a believer that a bedroom should be a fairly neutral, soothing space, I am starting to think that bare walls are not really the way forward. I am therefore on the lookout for a focal point to hang above the bed - I'd love a huge canvas of abstract art. Until I finally find something I can live with for the next X years, I'm enjoying looking for some inspiration for "art above the bed":
